Kersen had kept Michael at least somewhat informed about how things were going with Bonnie, over a phone phone calls. But he hadn't felt comfortable having Michael come to the house, and it was a few days before he felt comfortable leaving her there alone. But... as far as he could guess, she was just going to stay in bed crying.

He told Michael to meet him at the bar. He spent some time getting things in order, trying not to let on to his employees in what bad shape he was in.

But he was relieved as hell as soon as Michael walked in. He wanted to run over and throw himself into his arms - but that would be bad for many reasons. So instead he just gestured for Michael to follow him back to his office.

Michael was quiet for a beat, and then pointed out, "He left you alive."

He did not know how he would have reacted otherwise. Much as part of Kersen's predicament had been on the vampire's head, part of the blame resided on Michael's. That wasn't the sort of feeling he was used to dealing with.

"Because it amused him," Kersen said bitterly.

Not that he didn't feel fortunate to be alive. But he didn't think the magister for it. That guy was a sadistic bastard.

"He left you alive," Michael repeated, simply.

He didn't give a shit about the Magister, quite frankly, as long as the vampire now stayed out of their - out of Kersen's life.

"I'm glad there was someone to be worried about me," Kersen said after a moment, and raised his head to look at Michael, bringing a hand to his face.

Michael didn't like to admit it out loud, obvious though it had been. "Yes," he said, simply but somewhat awkwardly. He turned his head to press a kiss to Kersen's fingers.

Kersen ran his thumb over Michael's lips.

"There's two things I've wanted," he said softly. "One is for someone to hold me and tell me everything's going to be okay. The other is to be fucked into utter distraction. I'd take either from you."

Michael kissed his fingers again, then turned his head back to face Kersen. "Downstairs."

Kersen nodded, feeling his body relax a little just at the thought of it. Then he grabbed Michael's hand and pulled him out of the office and downstairs to the flat in the basement.

Michael followed him down the stairs, waiting until the door had closed behind him to speak, tugging on Kersen's hand so he would turn around and face him. "What do you want?"

'Fucked into distraction' was incredibly vague, and Michael did not know where Kersen's head might be at. There was a wide range of possibilities here, from simple, rough fucking to utter and complete submission, from overstim to blood play, and all the in-between.

Or even another kind of fucking altogether, something slower, but no less distracting, perhaps even more so, if you asked Michael.

The point was, he needed to know what Kersen needed, to give it to him.

Kersen could tell that Michael honestly wanted to know. That he would do what Kersen needed. Of course, the problem was that Kersen didn't necessarily know either.

Part of him wanted to fall into Michael's arms and sob, pretend you love me. But that wouldn't make either of them happy in the end. Besides, he could get some of that from Anael, if he needed it.

Part of him wanted to be punished. Really punished. He knew that Michael would do that, if he wanted, but he didn't think that would make either of them happy either. And Kersen supposed, he did still have Hex's phone number. Because maybe something like that would be best left impersonal.

So what did he really want from Michael? He supposed, if he could have anything... it was in between those two things.

"I want..." He hesitated. "I want you to dominate me. But I want you to do it because..." He corrected himself. "I want you to do it like... like you love me." And then he winced. "Oh god I'm sorry, that sounds... but do you understand what I mean? I want to give myself completely over to you, give over control, forget anything else about me but you. And if you make me suffer I want it to be a kindness." He was looking down at the ground, not sure what Michael's reaction would be."

"Kersen," Michael said, when the vampire kept looking down at the floor. He stepped closer and cupped his face with his free hand, his other one threading fingers with Kersen's. Tilted his head up until he had his gaze, then kissed him, softly and intimately. It might not be the first time he kissed Kersen like this, but it was the first time he did it after Kersen had said anything of the sort.

Kersen closed his eyes and kissed him back, feeling immediately better but also still a little unsure of himself. But it felt real.

Michael took his time kissing him, licking his way into his mouth and stroking their tongues together, his fingers shifting to cradle Kersen's head, carding through hair. When he broke the kiss, he leaned back just enough to look Kersen in the eye. "By the time we are done, you will have no doubt that you're mine," he told him, his voice low and even, but somehow as intimate as the kiss had been, in Michael's own way.

Mine. Yes. Kersen needed that right now, he needed to be in someone else's hands. He knew it wasn't entirely fair to himself but he felt like he'd fucked everything up lately. He needed to not be in control.

He swallowed hard as Michael looked at him like that. And nodded.

Michael nodded in return, then almost reluctantly seemed to step back, his hands lingering on Kersen as long as they might. "Undress for me."

Kersen took a step backwards, eyes fixed on Michael. He was dressed simply (and not a bit of makeup, which was how you really knew something was wrong). He lifted his shirt gracefully and then pulled it off, before continuing to undress without looking away from Michael.

Michael's gaze had always been particularly expressive, and it was no different tonight. His eyes shone with obvious appreciation as he watched Kersen, only looking away briefly when he grabbed the back of his own t-shirt and pulled it over his head.

Kersen removed every bit of his clothing, and when he stepped out of his underwear last, it revealed that his cock was already getting hard. Since Michael hadn't told him to do anything else, he left it at that, though his gaze ran appreciatively over Michael's body.

"I want you to pick something," Michael added, unbuckling his belt, "from your toys." He took a seat to unlace his shoes and get them off, so the rest of his clothes could follow the way of his t-shirt.

Kersen didn't really want to look away from Michael, wanted to watch him undress - but he wanted to do what he was told more. He gave him a little smile of agreement and then walked over to the nightstand, opened the bottom drawer.

"I'm not quite as well stocked here," he pointed out. He didn't have whips or chains, nothing like that, which was just as well. After a moment, he pulled out a large-ish vibrator and tossed it on the bed, followed by several lengths of silk scarves.

Michael watched him as he took care of his shoes and socks, then stood to undress the rest of the way. He stepped over to Kersen, taking his hand and threading their fingers together again as he kissed him, slow, long, and deep.
